PRESIDENT’S REPORT
SUCCESS FAVORS THE PREPARED
There are no shortcuts; there is no way around hard work. You have to be uncompromised in your level of commitment. These words describe the people you see in the photo below. They are the proud members of your Union’s Executive Board. They willingly give up countless personal, vacation, and comp time, as well as evenings and weekends, in their duties as officers of FAIR.
Believing in the creed, success favors the prepared, officers recently gathered to plan for the continued growth of our Union. It is by no accident, no luck of the draw, that FAIR continues to move forward and grow. Careful planning goes into the activities that shape our Union. From upcoming contract negotiations, organizing efforts, grievances, and arbitrations to planning merger agreements, we are prepared.
We take the future as serious as we take the past. There is a proud history to our Union and a future with endless opportunity. As 2012 begins to close, 2013 brings new life, new opportunity, new relationships, and new challenges. Planning our work and working our plan ensures that FAIR is prepared to meet what lies ahead.
In 2013 FAIR celebrates 40 years of representing union professionals and we reach closer to the 1,000 member mark.
On behalf of FAIR’s Executive Board, we wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season and a happy new year.
Onward,

JOHN W. HEISE
Proud President of FAIR
